I am a Greek lawyer with a strong academic background and professional experience in criminal law, European criminal justice and financial crime. After graduating from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2023, I worked at Alexios Kougias & Associates Law Firm, where I was involved in criminal litigation, legal drafting and case analysis. I subsequently completed a bilingual (English–French) LL.M. in European Economic and Financial Criminal Law at the University of Luxembourg, focusing on EU Criminal Law, economic and financial crime, cybersecurity, white-collar crime, AML/CTF and compliance. I then joined the Justice and Home Affairs Unit of the Permanent Representation of Greece to the European Union in Brussels, where I participated in Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) Council Working Party meetings of the Council of the European Union, monitored EU legislative negotiations, prepared legal reports and briefing notes, and independently represented the Permanent Representation at selected meetings. I independently prepared a comparative legal study assessing the alignment of Greek anti-corruption legislation with the proposed EU Anti-Corruption Directive.
